We are now looking for scrub nurses for our team at the operating department, USÖ. Our mission is large and covers areas within general surgery, Gynecology/Obstetrics, acute neurosurgery/trauma, as well as orthopedics/hand surgery.

During on-call hours, we also serve ENT/plastic/jaw, and urological operations.

The position is a temporary assignment or a permanent full-time role (100%) at the Surgical Clinic's operating department, Örebro University Hospital.

Standard duties as a scrub nurse at an operating department. Weekend and evening work, as well as some on-call duties, are included.

We are looking for you who have specialized education in perioperative nursing and preferably have previous experience in orthopedics/hand surgery. As a person, you contribute with great engagement and want to participate in the development of a changing operation. We would like you to positively see the benefits of changes, work for a good collaboration climate, be stimulated by challenges, and want to work actively for collaboration within and between our operating departments. The ability to work flexibly and independently, take initiative and responsibility based on the scrub nurse's area of knowledge is significant. The same applies to collaboration skills and personal suitability as you will work in a cross-professional team.

The Surgical Area has close cooperation between the county's three hospitals. The area has a county assignment for emergency and planned surgical care, and we also provide some highly specialized care for out-of-county patients. Here there are 350 employees in different units such as reception, ward, operation, and secretariat. Planned care is increasingly located in Karlskoga and Lindesberg, and similarly, tumor and trauma operations are located in Örebro.
