We are now looking for a Transport Manager for our facility in Viared, Borås. As a Transport Manager at REMONDIS, you will have a role with great responsibility, where you, together with your team, work on environmentally efficient transport solutions for sustainable and long-term customer relationships and results. Our transport unit in Borås is part of Region West where we collect and handle different types of waste for recycling. The vehicle fleet consists of 13 vehicles, including rear-loading compactors, swap body vehicles, with and without crane, as well as vans. Experienced and engaged environmental workers work at the unit, contributing daily to a sustainable future.

Job Description

In the role of Transport Manager, you are responsible for the daily operation of the transports.

The position includes, among other things:

• Plan and direct vehicles and distribute assignments to environmental workers
• Ensure that assignments are carried out and handled correctly in the business system
• Ensure that required transport documents are available for the drivers
• Review invoices in DCE
• Participate in target work and follow-up of the vehicle type's targets
• Support in specific customer cases
• Be responsible for customer dialogue in connection with execution
• Handle deviations and customer complaints
• Ensure that customers' deliveries are handled according to current routines
• Other common tasks delegated by the nearest manager

About You

We are looking for you who thrive in a fast pace and have the ability to handle many contact surfaces and work with parallel tasks. You are stress-resistant, structured and confident in prioritizing when conditions change quickly. You have a solution-oriented approach, see opportunities and actively contribute to improvements and efficiency in work. Furthermore, you have very good communication and collaboration skills, with a professional and service-oriented attitude.

Qualifications

• Experience from the transport industry, for example as a driver
• Completed upper secondary education
• Very good knowledge of Swedish and English, both spoken and written
• Good computer skills and experience working in business systems

Merits

• Formal transport manager education and/or experience in transport management, logistics support or contracting, preferably within the recycling industry
• Experience with or license for heavy vehicles (C/CE), which gives you a deeper understanding of our operational challenges

• Employment type: Permanent with an initial 6-month probationary period
