About Us

Our care is person-centered, and our core values are built on patient encounters, participation, employee engagement, close leadership, and joy in work. We work in multiprofessional teams consisting of doctors, nurses, assistant nurses, dietitians, social workers, physiotherapists, and occupational therapists. We are located in bright, newly renovated premises with 24 care beds in Solberga.

Job Responsibilities

The tasks for the nurse are varied as we are a specialized palliative unit. You have the opportunity to develop and gain broad medical competence. Standard palliative interventions such as medication, wound dressing, nursing care, sampling, handling of various access points, drainage, and medication pumps are part of the job. Holding supportive conversations and working cross-professionally with the entire care team is part of the daily work. Together with multiprofessional teams, you are responsible for patient care planning, treatment, and nursing care.

Qualifications

  • You must be a licensed nurse, preferably with further education in areas such as palliative care, oncology, emergency care, or intensive care, but even those with basic education are welcome.
  • You are welcome to speak several languages, but you must have knowledge of Swedish equivalent to at least level C1.

We are looking for you who want to work with advanced healthcare and who can see, listen to the patient's individual wishes, and can meet relatives in difficult situations. Meeting severely ill patients and their relatives requires personal maturity and confidence in your professional role.

For patient-facing work within the Stockholm County Council (SLSO):

  • A register check is applied before the decision on employment according to SLSO's overarching guidelines for register checks upon employment.
  • Employees who will have patient contact must undergo a new employment examination, according to current directives, which takes place through occupational health services before employment.
  • Good knowledge of the Swedish language equivalent to level C1 according to the Common European Framework of Reference for Languages (CEFR) is required, in addition to Swedish professional licensure. The same requirements are guiding for non-licensed staff with patient contact.
