Nurse/Specialist Nurse Wanted at the Pain Clinic in Jönköping County

The opportunity to join the Pain Unit has finally arrived! We are now looking for more staff as the operations develop to meet future needs for specialized pain care.

The Role of Nurse/Specialist Nurse

We are looking for you who are a registered nurse or specialist nurse with an interest in pain care. The position is a permanent full-time or part-time employment with working hours during daytime, weekdays.

The Pain Units within Jönköping County conduct advanced pharmacological and invasive pain treatment, including SCS dorsal column stimulation, RF treatments, and intrathecal pain relief. We offer qualified outpatient assessment and treatment for patients with acute and chronic pain, including cancer-related pain.

The operation also serves as support for primary care and inpatient care in more complex pain conditions.

As a nurse at the pain clinic, you are an important part of the team and actively participate in clinic visits together with the patient. Duties include working in TeleQ as well as conducting own patient visits with nurse-led treatments. All nurses also administer botox treatment to patients with migraines.

Your Future Workplace

Since January 2020, there has been a joint pain clinic within Jönköping County with units at the hospitals in Jönköping, Eksjö, and Värnamo. The units have partly different medical focuses but work closely together within the clinic.

The Pain Clinic is organizationally placed under the Surgery and Intensive Care Clinic at Höglandssjukhuset Eksjö and has a joint operations manager. The area manager is responsible for doctors, nurses, assistant nurses, and administrators at each pain unit and has delegated operational responsibility.

In total, approximately 20 employees work within the clinic.
