Home Care Worker for Dementia and Special Team – Stockholm

We are looking for you who have knowledge and interest in working with people who have memory diseases (dementia) and/or mental health issues, as we only have clients within these areas in our home care operations.
HOME CARE
Working Hours:
The operation has two different shifts per day. If needed, you work one of these two shifts:
- Day shift: 07:30–16:30
- Evening shift: 15:00–22:00
Availability: The requirement is that you can be available for work at least 3 shifts per week. We would like you to be able to work more than that, as we strive for the highest possible continuity in operations. We do not accept applications where you can only work weekends or parts of a shift. We also appreciate that you intend to stay in the operation for a longer period.
Salary: According to the operation's collective agreement (Almega).
Qualifications that are an advantage:
- Knowledge, experience, and interest in working with people who have various dementia diseases or mental health issues.
- Experience from working longer in home care or elderly care facilities.
- Very good Swedish skills in speaking and writing, as you will meet clients who may have difficulty understanding or speaking, and you must be able to document in journals and read instructions.
- Social, persistent, patient, stress-resistant, proactive, and creative in your work approach.
- Ability to handle stress and plan and structure your work.
- Good local knowledge of Inner Stockholm, as you travel to clients via public transport or on foot.
Note that we place great emphasis on personal suitability, such as knowledge, interest, initiative, communication/attitude, and personality.
Job Responsibilities
You follow an intervention plan and visit clients in their homes to perform the interventions they are entitled to according to their care decisions. These interventions include, among other things:
- General and intimate hygiene, showering
- Cooking
- Social interaction
- Cleaning, laundry, and grocery shopping
- Respite care and escorting to various facilities
- Walking
We work extensively with motivation to be able to carry out interventions and use various work methods as support.
We have team leaders and administrators who staff the office during the day. You can turn to them for support in your daily work.
Who are we?
Stockholm Dementia and Special Team is a home care company that performs interventions in clients' homes. We also offer escort services, respite care, and housing support.
The operation consists of two large teams, and you can work in both depending on interest and competence:
- Dementia Team: Focuses on clients with dementia diseases where the severity varies.
- Special Team: Focuses on mental health issues, ongoing substance abuse, and includes housing support.
We use the time reporting system Paragå. Employees log in and out at each client visit using a mobile phone and NFC tags, and document directly in the client's journal on site. Paragå monitors logins via GPS.
Where are we and how do you get around?
We have clients in 8 different neighborhoods. You start and end your shift from our premises on Södermalm. You travel to clients via public transport or on foot (the operation has no company cars). An SL card is required for this position.
