Your new team

In this role, you will be part of our Data & AI Center department and the team working on data & AI platforms. You will work closely with several other competent Platform Engineers, Architects, and Data Engineers, as well as the new AI Center team, which is part of Axfood's continued investment in in-house AI development.

Our Data & AI platforms are crucial for Axfood to make informed decisions and drive business success. We are now looking for you who wants to help develop our platforms to meet future data & AI needs. Together, we develop these platforms that drive everything from assortment optimization to route planning and integrated real-time analytics.

About the role

As a Data & AI Platform Engineer, you play a central role in designing, developing, and further evolving Axfood's data and AI platforms in AWS. You build modern, scalable, and secure platforms that support business-critical systems and enable Axfood's continued investment in Data and AI, with a focus on automation, serverless architecture, and cost-efficiency.

You work on developing and optimizing data lakehouse capabilities, creating structures for how data is published and consumed, and ensuring stable operations, performance, and availability through continuous improvement and maintenance. The role involves close collaboration with architects, Data/ML Engineers, and other developers to build robust and long-term platform solutions, where a high degree of automation and self-service is a central part of the working method.

• DevOps: Docker, AWS CDK & Bitbucket Pipelines
• Engineering Practices: IaC, CI/CD, linting, testing, PR Reviews, internal demos

Does this sound like you?

You are driven by building stable and scalable platforms that other teams can rely on and further develop. You have a good understanding of modern cloud and data platforms, as well as experience with automation, operational quality, and Infrastructure as Code.

You have the ability to design sustainable systems and structures, and experience working with lifecycle management and versioning of data, code, and models. You thrive in an environment where you can contribute to structure, improvement, and long-term solutions.

As a person, you are structured, curious, and solution-oriented, with a high sense of quality and good collaboration skills.
