We are looking for a School Nurse

As a school nurse at Realgymnasiet, you work as part of the student health services in accordance with the Health and Medical Services Act and the Education Act. You work in close collaboration with teachers and the student health team to contribute to the best possible conditions for learning among our students. A student's health has a significant impact on their academic development, and you are passionate about doing what is best for each student and child.

Responsibilities as a School Nurse include:

• Conducting health examinations, health conversations, vaccinations, basic healthcare interventions, and consultations with students.
• Contributing medical expertise to the school's health-promoting and preventive work at the student, group, and organizational levels.
• Collaborating with other professions internally as well as with other actors in the municipality or region.

You drive the student health work together with your colleagues. The work is also carried out in collaboration with other pedagogical staff at the school to contribute to students' goal achievement. You will be part of the school's Student Health Team. We work with the Student Health Meeting (EHM) model, which aims to provide the student health services and educators with a joint forum for student health work and to focus on promoting school development.

Qualifications

To be considered for this role, we look for the following:

• A nursing license and a completed advanced education as a pediatric nurse, district nurse, or school nurse.
• Previous experience from student health services in upper secondary school or other educational forms with vocational preparatory education.
