Stockholm – our capital city of millions of dreams, expectations, and ambitions. We work for everyone who lives here today and in the future. We are now looking for you who want to think big, new, and different with us – for the people of Stockholm.

Through the Sports Administration, we create the conditions for all Stockholmers to be physically active. We open up the city as an arena and offer Stockholmers a wide variety of sports and exercise opportunities for a more active lifestyle. All work at the Sports Administration is based on our three core values: welcoming – credible – forward-looking. Welcome to an active and diverse workplace!

Do you want a summer temporary position where you can make a difference for the health and well-being of Stockholmers? Do you thrive in a close community and team spirit? Do you enjoy variety, where no day is like the other? Then this might be the workplace for you! Send us your application.

We offer our visitors

A welcoming, accessible, and well-functioning sports facility with grass fields, athletics areas, an ice hall, and outdoor gyms. We belong to the Sports Facilities West area, which includes Spånga IP, Stora Mossens IP, Grimsta IP, etc. We are a team of 30 employees.

The Sports Administration has achieved the Great Place to Work certification (November 2025).

We offer you

Our workplace focuses on creating a Stockholm where everyone wants and can move around. We offer a warm and supportive work environment where you become part of a tight-knit team. Here, you have the opportunity to develop both personally and professionally. We value your willingness to learn and grow, and offer good opportunities for competence development within your field.

Here you can combine your interest in sports with meaningful work. Read more about Stockholm City's benefits for employees at jobba.stockholm (https://jobba.stockholm/formaner/).

Your role

As a sports facility worker, you represent our operations and are the face of our hospitality and service. You are also responsible, together with your colleagues, for maintaining artificial and natural grass fields, cleaning activity areas and premises, as well as caring for ice rinks and ski tracks. The work is flexible and varied, with both indoor and outdoor tasks. During a workday, you meet many people whom you help and support in various ways. This might include guiding children to the correct changing rooms, providing support to organizers during ongoing events, or ensuring that all visitors feel welcome and meet a clean facility in top condition.

Your skills and experience

We are looking for you who enjoy providing good service, communicate easily, and are ready to take on new tasks with enthusiasm. We see you as an initiator with a solution focus who thrives both collaborating and working independently. Your lack of pretension, curiosity, and being a natural part of the team are what we value most.

We are looking for you who have a B-driver's license for manual transmission, a high school education or equivalent competence, and basic computer skills. But most importantly, we value your passion for making our visitors feel welcome and cared for.

Do you have previous experience working at a sports facility, in facility maintenance, or in the gardening, agricultural, or nature sectors? That is definitely a plus! But even more important is your readiness to dive straight into new challenges and learn new skills. Have you not driven an ice resurfacer or tractor before? No problem – if you are ready to learn, we are ready to support you!

A few words from supervisor and colleague Malin:

"I have the most fun job in the world! I contribute to creating conditions for a diversity of visitors to move around, which feels meaningful! For me, team spirit is incredibly important, and we always strive to make each other better!"

Other information

To offer Stockholmers good accessibility, we staff the facility between 6 AM and 12 AM, 7 days a week, which means we work in shifts. We work 39 hours/week on day, evening, and weekend shifts.

The position is a summer temporary role, but there are good opportunities for temporary positions during autumn/winter, including extra work.

For this employment, we apply suitability checks and will request extracts from the police criminal record register before appointment. Since processing times can be long, we ask you to request a register extract here in advance: polisen.se (https://polisen.se/tjanster-tillstand/belastningsregistret/barn-annan-verksamhet/).

Stockholm City works with competence-based recruitment aimed at assessing each person's competence and thereby combating discrimination.
