About Us
Through the phone number 1177, medical advice is offered around the clock, every day of the year. 1177 is a national service available in all Swedish counties and regions. Our mission is to provide qualified medical assessments, prioritization, and advice for self-care, or refer to the appropriate level of care if needed. The work is supported by a national decision support system and a specific conversation methodology.
1177 by Phone works towards national development and collaboration for digital medical advice. The goal is for residents to have increased access to personal advice and faster guidance to the right level of care and support, through various channels.
The operations are led by regional area managers, business managers, and unit managers. Nurses work together with administrators at each unit. In the Region of Västra Götaland, our offices are located in Alingsås, Gothenburg, Skövde, and Uddevalla. We are part of a national network with other regions in Sweden.

About the Job
1177 by Phone is often the first point of contact for care for our residents. Being a telephone nurse at 1177 is a rewarding, exciting, and challenging job that spans a large area of knowledge. As a nurse, the phone is your work tool, supported by images and video.
We offer you a job with medical advice by phone where you encounter varying questions. With us, you will receive an introductory training totaling four weeks, which includes both theory and practice, as well as ongoing competence development. Additionally, you will receive individual counseling and the opportunity for group reflection. Scheduled recovery time is included in your shifts. Once you are settled in the role, there may be opportunities to work remotely. We offer a workplace focused on good working conditions and high quality.

About You
We are looking for you who are a licensed nurse and preferably have specialist training. You need to have worked as a nurse for at least three years. We also see that you master Swedish in both speech and writing, have good knowledge of English, and are accustomed to working in various IT systems.
We place great emphasis on your personal qualities. Among other things, we value a good attitude, independence, innovative thinking, and the ability to take initiative. Good teamwork skills are also important to us.

Our working hours include days, evenings, and weekends. Start date is September 21.
