BARFI BITES AS is looking for an experienced Mithai Confectioner / South Asian Sweet Maker

Full-time / Part-time

Location: Oslo (Holmlia Senter)

Start: According to agreement

This is not a typical confectioner role.

Barfi Bites is looking for someone with genuine experience in traditional South Asian sweets and mithai craftsmanship from countries such as India, Pakistan, or Bangladesh.

We are looking for someone who understands the craft behind classic baked goods and sweets such as:

• Barfi
• Gulab Jamun
• Jalebi
• Rasgulla
• Laddoo
• Halwa
• Kaju Katli
• Milk Cake
• Cham Cham
• Bengali sweets and other traditional mithai products

Perhaps you learned through family, generations of tradition, your own bakery, or traditional production methods.

This is a very unique skill set in Scandinavia.

Therefore, we are casting a wide net — across Sweden, Norway, and Denmark.

About the Role

You will work closely with the production of traditional South Asian sweets, where quality, intuition, and authenticity are crucial.

We are looking for someone who:

• Has practical experience in mithai production
• Understands traditional recipes and techniques
• Has an eye for quality and details
• Is meticulous, responsible, and self-motivated
• Thrives in a team and high-paced environment
• Speaks Hindi, Urdu, Bengali, or Punjabi (preferred, not required)
• Is passionate about South Asian food culture and dessert traditions

Big plus if you:

• Have worked in a mithai shop, sweet factory, or traditional confectionery
• Can produce larger volumes without losing quality
• Have experience in catering or festival production
