About the workplace

Kungshult Care Residence is located in the northern part of Helsingborg. Surrounding the residence are lush beech forests and meadows, with horses grazing nearby, creating a calm and rural atmosphere. The care residence has 72 apartments spread over three floors. It offers both somatic places and housing for people with cognitive impairment, and we are currently looking for new staff for our dementia unit.

Kungshult is a Silviacertified unit, which means that all staff have received specialized training and that we work systematically with dementia issues.

Job Description

As an Economic Assistant (Kitchen Assistant), you will work together with a colleague in the serving kitchen at the residence. You are responsible for food handling, serving, table setting, dishwashing, baking, and cleaning of the kitchen and dining room. You contribute to a pleasant dining atmosphere and good treatment for the residents, as well as participating in creating a nice overall experience around meals and holidays. Local cleaning may also be included if needed.

There is an opportunity to be involved in developing the kitchen together with a colleague and the meal host, and special kitchen meetings are held continuously.

Qualifications

We are looking for you who have upper secondary education within restaurant and food, large kitchen, or other education that the employer deems equivalent. You have knowledge of food hygiene and experience working in a kitchen or serving environment. The role also requires good knowledge of Swedish, both spoken and written.

It is an advantage if you have work experience within care and social services.
