Birka Gotland is the Baltic Sea's new pleasure cruise ship, offering recreation and experiences for the everyday traveler. The vessel is operated by Gotland Alandia Cruises, established in 2023 as a joint venture between the shipping companies Viking Line and Gotlandsbolaget. Birka Gotland offers cruises and regular voyages between Stockholm, Mariehamn, and Visby starting from spring 2024.

We are looking for a Relief Masseuse for our Archipelago Spa!

The spa is a vital and highly sought-after part of the cruise experience for our guests, where a spa treatment or a moment of relaxation in the pool is greatly appreciated.

We are currently looking for you to join our relief staff pool who is service-oriented, positive, and flexible. We are looking for someone who is passionate about providing first-class service, communicates easily with people, and takes responsibility and initiative.

What it means to work as a relief employee on Birka Gotland:

• A work shift onboard varies between 1 and 14 consecutive cruises.
• We offer shifts as needed, both with short notice and with ample advance planning.
• Safety duties are included in all roles.
• Work clothes and all meals onboard are included. You have your own cabin and access to the staff gym and sauna.

About the role of Masseuse:

You have professional experience within the industry. It is an advantage if you are a certified esthetician and have previous experience working in the maritime industry.

As a masseuse in our spa department, you will perform spa treatments, massage treatments, and facial treatments (if you are a certified esthetician according to our SPA Menu). We offer a high standard in customer service and the execution of spa treatments. You will take turns staffing the spa reception, and cash register duties are part of the job description. You will also be involved in recommending and selling Babor and Elemis products.
