Electrician for Municipal Lighting

Operations & Maintenance – Public Lighting (Northern Side)

About the Role

As an electrician with us, you will work with operations, maintenance, troubleshooting, and installation within public lighting. The work is practical, varied, and primarily takes place outdoors.

You will work from your own service vehicle, both independently and in collaboration with colleagues. On-call duty is included in the position, as well as work from a cherry picker (aerial lift).

You are responsible for ensuring that our lighting installations function efficiently, safely, and in accordance with current requirements and regulations.

Responsibilities

In this role, you will primarily work with:

• Troubleshooting and repair of street lighting
• Operational and maintenance work
• New installation of lighting facilities
• Replacement of fixtures and light sources
• Handling fault reports
• Preventive maintenance and inspection
• Repair of electrical systems and components

You will also participate in:

• Testing, troubleshooting, and commissioning of installations
• Ensuring that work is carried out according to drawings, technical documentation, and electrical safety regulations

Qualifications

• Vocational training as an electrician or equivalent
• ECY certificate or authorization
• Completed apprenticeship
• Experience in similar tasks
• Category B driver's license (manual transmission)
• Good knowledge of Swedish, both spoken and written

It is also important that you have:

• Experience with electrical installations in contracting, infrastructure, or industry
• Good knowledge of electrical safety regulations
• Experience reading electrical drawings and technical documentation
