At Bofors Test Center, we are currently looking for a Facilities Technician to join our operations in Karlskoga. Here you will have a practical role where you become a key part of ensuring that our buildings, facilities, and outdoor environments are in good working order and well-maintained. The work takes place in a unique operational environment at one of Europe's largest shooting ranges, where facility management and technical testing operations work side by side.

About the Role

As a Facilities Technician, you will work with both ongoing maintenance and preventive care in an environment that differs from traditional property jobs. You will be out in the operations daily and have close contact with employees across different parts of the organization.

The work is varied and involves both planned and urgent interventions where you contribute to keeping our buildings and facilities in good condition in an operation with high demands for safety and accessibility. You will work independently but in close collaboration with other colleagues within maintenance.

Duties may include:

• Performing daily rounds, inspections, and self-checks according to established routines.
• Ensuring that buildings and facilities remain in a functional and safe condition, and prioritizing actions when deviations occur.
• Handling and resolving incoming service requests and fault reports.
• Carrying out practical repairs.
• Performing both preventive and corrective maintenance tasks.
• Coordinating, ordering, and following up on work performed by external contractors.
• Contributing to winter maintenance such as snow removal and ice control when necessary.
• Leading and driving smaller projects within the facility area.

Your Background

We are looking for someone who is self-motivated, hands-on, and solution-oriented. You take responsibility for your work and thrive in a role where you can combine service, technology, and independent decision-making.

You have a professional and service-oriented approach and enjoy having many contact points within the operation. At the same time, you are flexible and ready to support where needed.

Requirements for the position:

• At least 3 years of experience in facility management, facility services, or similar practical work.
• Good knowledge of Swedish and English, both spoken and written.
• Valid driver's license (Category B).
• Swedish citizenship.
• Passed security clearance according to current laws and guidelines.

Merits:

• It is a merit if you have a background in trade professions such as construction, electrical, plumbing, or carpentry.
• We also view it positively if you have education in facility technology or a corresponding field.
• Experience with chainsaws and holding a chainsaw license is an advantage, as is having a front-end loader or machinery operator license.

Bofors Test Center was originally part of Bofors and became an independent company in 1999. Commercially, the company stands on two legs; testing of weapon systems, ammunition, and missiles, as well as the destruction of explosives.
