About the Unit

Kalmar and Kronoberg Group (KRAG) in Växjö is responsible for training, organizing, and administering the two Home Guard battalions in Kalmar and Kronoberg counties under the Chief of the Southern Military Region (MR S). KRAG also supports operations within the voluntary defense organizations.

Main Responsibilities

The main tasks involve independently or as part of a team planning, conducting, and evaluating exercises and training. You will also support other parts of the MR Group. The position is physically demanding during certain periods.

REQUIREMENTS

Qualifications

• Passed military basic training (Vpl)
• Completed Platoon Commander Training
• Good IT skills
• Category B driver's license

Personal Attributes

You have good teamwork skills, are outgoing, and find it easy to collaborate with others. You have a high work capacity, are stress-resistant, and have good communication skills both verbally and in writing. You should take responsibility, show initiative, and be able to translate theory into practice. Great importance will be attached to personal suitability.

Other Information

Employment Type: This is a fixed-term employment of up to eight years, with the possibility of extension.

Workload: Full-time. Evening and weekend duty occurs. Travel within Sweden with overnight stays occurs.

The Southern Military Region (MR S) is a wartime unit and an organizational unit where the Chief and Staff are located in Revingehed. The organization consists of the Chief with staff, five military region groups for training and support of the Home Guard, and approx. 7,000 Home Guard soldiers organized in eleven battalions and a number of independent units. C MR S with regional staff leads subordinate units, collaborates with regional and local actors, leads security and intelligence services, and supports operational and tactical commanders who solve tasks within the region.
