The Role of the Nurse

As a nurse, you have a holistic view of the patient's complex needs. You are responsible for nursing care, observation, medication, and collaboration regarding patients with various infection diagnoses and varying care needs. We want the patient to be involved in their care. This means that information is a very important part of your work. You take care of the patient in the best way possible based on individual needs and proven experience in medical nursing. We work in teams with different professions, and together with other employees, you work for good collaboration within the clinic. As a nurse, you lead and distribute the work in the team. Our patients are sometimes very seriously ill, for example with sepsis, requiring extensive acute measures from you and your colleagues.

Your Future Workplace

The Infection Clinic is based in Jönköping and is the county's knowledge center for infectious diseases. The clinic consists of a care unit with 27 beds, a specialist outpatient clinic, and extensive consulting and advisory services conducted in Eksjö, Jönköping, and Värnamo. The clinic is characterized by motivated employees who work in teams and jointly strive for a good working climate. The cohesion is good, and we value teamwork and interest in development highly. The clinic is characterized by a lack of hierarchy and close, warm collaboration between the different professions in the clinic. Many of our patients feel that our employees' greatest strengths are good treatment, good accessibility for questions and concerns, and that they feel safe as patients.

Your Profile

We are looking for you who are a registered nurse and want to become one of us at the Infection Clinic, Ryhov County Hospital in Jönköping. Meritorious is a couple of years of experience in ward work. If you have experience working in the medical record system Cosmic, we see it as positive.
