About the position

As a contact nurse, you are responsible for nursing, coordination, and continuity for patients within colorectal surgery. You are the patient's fixed care contact throughout the entire care process, from investigation and treatment to follow-up.

The work involves close contact with patients and relatives where you provide support, information, and guidance through the care process. You work in a patient-centered manner and contribute to creating security and continuity for the patient.

You work in close collaboration with doctors, nurses, and other professions within the operation, as well as with other healthcare providers and levels of care. The role involves independent work with great responsibility, while teamwork is a central part of the assignment.

Qualifications

Requirements:

• Swedish nursing license
• at least two years of experience working as a nurse

Merits:

• experience in surgical operations

• contact nurse education 7.5 credits
• specialist nurse education in surgery
