Job Description

Platform Engineer

Do you want to work with the latest technology in IT and be part of modern technological development?

Our client’s primary focus is protecting people and society. Here, you will become part of a flat hierarchy culture together with professional and engaged colleagues who support and learn from each other.

You will be part of the Data & Insight section within Digital Accelerator, which is responsible for the operation and development of the client's data platform, generative AI, and visualization tools. The work includes architecture, design, development, implementation, operation, support, and management of platforms and IT services.

The team currently consists of 12 people who work cross-functionally with the organization's platforms and solutions.

The assignment requires you to undergo and be approved according to current security clearance regulations. For some assignments with security classification, requirements for specific citizenship may apply.

Your Responsibilities

• Receive, analyze, and translate technical requirements for on-prem solutions
• Build, review, and manage container images
• Work with system administration, for example:
  • storage administration
  • configuration of users, groups, and roles
  • troubleshooting and incident management
• Configure and manage virtual networks
• Automate processes and workflows, for example with Python
• Collaborate closely with Scrum Masters, Data Engineers, Data Scientists, and BI consultants

Your Profile

To thrive in this role, you have a genuine interest in technology and information security, as well as experience in software development and/or system administration.

Since support and user contact are an important part of the assignment, you are communicative, solution-oriented, and comfortable working independently with troubleshooting and problem-solving.

Requirements

• Very good knowledge of software containers
• Very good knowledge of system administration
• Very good knowledge of Kubernetes
• Very good knowledge of Linux/Unix
• Good knowledge of configuration management
• Good understanding of system architecture
• Good knowledge of one or more scripting languages
• Very good ability to communicate in Swedish and English, both verbally and in writing

Merits

• Experience of or understanding for Cloud Native technologies
• Experience of or understanding for ETL processes
• Experience of or understanding for cloud-based data platforms such as Azure Fabric and Databricks
