About Us
We receive individuals with neuropsychological disabilities, as a step after residential care (HVB), with the aim of increasing the possibility of moving on to independent living. We also receive individuals requiring special care with dual diagnoses and substance abuse problems. Eken Discharge Unit Floby is located approximately 20 km west of Falköping. In a nature-oriented residential area, we have 18 fully equipped apartments distributed across three two-story houses.
We work salutogenically, motivation-supporting, and low-arousal to help residents strengthen their social, psychological, and practical skills, including training in Activities of Daily Living (ADL) and social skills. The foundation is motivational work complemented by ESL (Emotionally Supportive Learning). The work is based on individual contact person assignments and is guided by individual implementation plans that start from the assignment and the individual's resources and needs. Experienced and committed staff create security, continuity, and quality in the daily care work.
About the Position
The role of nursing assistant involves standard care work for adult men and women with mental disabilities in combination with comorbidity and substance abuse. You work based on an individual contact person assignment where you have overall responsibility for a specific client and strive daily to ensure that each individual client achieves their goals and sub-goals.
In your role, this includes among other things:
Supporting clients in ADL activities and situations, as well as offering daily care with a focus on promoting good health.
Following reporting structures, ensuring daily planning is carried out and adhered to, and documenting daily according to current documentation requirements.
Supporting and guiding clients through conversations and practical activities, while actively listening and creating a safe environment for them to share their experiences.
Working with clients from different backgrounds and needs, including those with addiction issues or trauma, and identifying and managing their individual needs and feelings.
Collaborating with other professionals to provide a holistic view of the client's well-being and contribute to their development.
Who are you?
We are looking for you who have a strong commitment and desire to make a difference for people with mental disabilities, often in combination with comorbidity. You have a strong drive to help others and understanding of the psychological and social aspects of mental illness. To thrive, you need to be empathetic, patient, and skilled at handling emotions and challenging situations. You also have good communication skills and adapt your work to each client's individual needs.
We are looking for you who:
Are trained as a nursing assistant.
Have experience in psychiatric care.
Have a valid driver's license (Category B).
Have good knowledge of the Swedish language.
It is an advantage if you:
Have advanced education in psychiatry, substance abuse, MI (Motivational Interviewing), ESL.
Have worked in this area previously.
About the Employment
Number of positions: 1
The employment is permanent, with a six-month probation period.
The workload is 100%.
Working hours include day, evening, weekend, and on-call sleeping shifts.
Salary is agreed upon, and other benefits are according to collective agreements. Start date is by agreement.
