We have created an auction service where you can find numerous new items to bid on daily, and the company is constantly growing. In 2025, we hosted over 160,000 auctions and achieved an auction turnover of 4.7 billion SEK, with forecasts pointing to continued strong growth. Klaravik is part of a strong Nordic group with several successful growth brands.

As a Senior Backend Developer, you will:

• Build and further develop backend applications in PHP, primarily using the Symfony framework.

• Take responsibility for architecture, code quality, and best practices alongside other senior developers.

• Design and optimize databases and work with efficient SQL solutions.

• Ensure high quality through testing, automation, and peer-to-peer code reviews.

• Work closely with product owners, designers, and QA in a squad that drives the product forward together.

• Contribute to learning and knowledge sharing – both within the squad and in our backend groups.

• Be involved in improving the platform's performance, stability, and scalability.

• Use AI-based tools as a natural part of the development process, for example, for code generation, analysis, testing, and streamlining workflows.

• At least 5 years of experience in backend development in PHP.

• Very good knowledge of Symfony or similar PHP frameworks.

• A strong understanding of SQL, database design, and backend architecture.

• Experience with agile working methods in squads.

• The ability to take technical responsibility and drive work independently.

• Good communication skills and a willingness to collaborate and share knowledge.

• Very good proficiency in Swedish, as we work closely together in squads and have ongoing dialogue with colleagues and users in Swedish.

• Experience with other PHP frameworks (Laravel, Laminas, etc.).

• Background in auction systems, e-commerce, or other complex transaction environments.

• Knowledge of Azure, cloud-based development, or container technologies.

• Experience with CI/CD, test automation, or DevOps practices.

• Interest in event-driven architecture or microservices.

You are an analytical and structured developer who thrives in a collaborative environment. You take ownership of your code, are curious about new solutions, and enjoy contributing to a culture of learning, quality, and innovation. You also have an interest in your own development and in supporting and mentoring other developers within the department.

You are comfortable with complex systems and have the ability to break down problems into clear and manageable solutions. You take responsibility for the big picture and can make thoughtful trade-offs between quality, time, and business value.

You actively contribute to an open and inclusive climate in your squad and are curious about how AI can be used as a tool in development work.
