As a Spare Parts Technician at the Swedish Armed Forces, you will be a vital part of a successful team within a rapidly growing agency. Main Responsibilities
As a Spare Parts Technician, you have an important role where you will be responsible for supplying our workshop with spare parts. You will ensure that consumables are available in sufficient quantities and pick up spare parts from the local area when needed. You will generally service the workshop to meet its needs, ensuring work proceeds efficiently. The role also includes maintaining order in chemical cabinets and oil storage areas, ensuring they are tidy and properly documented.
You will also be responsible for maintaining our environmental station. This involves ensuring correct handling and classification of waste, as well as ensuring it is managed in an environmentally sound manner. You must order transport in good time to comply with permit conditions under the Environmental Code and not exceed allowed waste quantities. You are responsible for reporting data on hazardous waste and the volume produced.

Qualifications
- Complete upper secondary education (3-year high school diploma)
- Documented experience in spare parts management
- Good understanding of workshop operations
- Understanding of chemical handling
- Background in handling and maintaining documentation, with a strong sense of systematics and structure
- Category B driver's license
- Forklift license
Merits
- Completed GMU (General Military Training) or other military education
- Previous experience working within the Swedish Armed Forces' spare parts structure
- Experience in waste management through sorting, packaging, labeling, etc.
- Worked with waste codes, classification, and assessment of how waste should be handled
- Accustomed to working with Safety Data Sheets and understanding of chemical handling
- Previous experience working with risk analyses
- Good knowledge of the Office package
- Category C driver's license

Other Information
The position is a permanent civil service appointment. For those not already employed by the Swedish Armed Forces, it begins with a 6-month probationary period. Employment can start as soon as possible or as agreed.
The position is full-time with regular working hours Monday-Friday with flexible time arrangements. Irregular working hours and duty during inconvenient times may occur, as well as travel for work. The position is located in Örebro.
