Job Description

At the Specialist Medicine clinic, there are three different inpatient wards with three different specializations: pulmonology, gastroenterology & hepatology, and endocrinology. This position is primarily focused on Ward 74/Pulmonology and Ward 93/Diabetes & Endocrinology. The wards are of equal size with twelve beds each, and night shifts are staffed equally with two nurses and one assistant nurse.

As a new employee, you are offered an introduction to the different specialties and continuous competence development within each area. You are also given the opportunity to work flexibly according to your conditions and wishes. You choose yourself whether you are only interested in one specialty or several. You are introduced to the units you will work in, and then awaits a varied job with many colleagues and cross-boundary collaborations for the patient's best interest.

The different specializations involve:

Ward 74 Pulmonology

Ward 74 treats patients with diagnoses such as COPD, pneumothorax, pulmonary fibrosis, and other lung diseases/conditions. We have a close collaboration with the lung outpatient clinic, and the bronchoscopy service is located in the ward's premises. Our patients are also cared for with NIV, which requires you to have a medical technology interest.

Ward 93 Diabetes and Endocrinology

In Endocrinology, patients with newly diagnosed diabetes and diabetes-related complications are cared for. The ward has a significant share of pre- and postoperative care for patients with diabetes-related foot ulcers.

Qualifications

Licensed nurse with at least 2 years of experience from emergency care.

Meritorious if you have experience from any of the medical specialties within the clinic.

Personal Attributes

We are looking for you who are competent and confident in your professional role with the patient's best interest in focus. As a person, you are communicative, responsible, and meticulous.

You need to be receptive and have an easy time fitting into different work groups and contexts, as you may serve in different units.

Our Employment Offer

As an employee at night within Region Stockholm, you receive double OB (unsocial hours allowance).
