Orkla Foods Sweden prepares food and beverages in Sweden with love and care for people, seas, and land. We are a local community player that, with our 1500 employees, makes a difference and contributes to a more sustainable and healthy everyday life. Approximately 90 percent of the food and beverages we sell in Sweden are prepared locally at one of our 7 facilities in Eslöv, Fågelmara, Kumla, Kungshamn, Tollarp, Vansbro, and Örebro.
About the Role
We are looking for a Building/Media Technician who wants to work broadly with Air, Cooling, and Steam within food production. The role is central to our organization to ensure high operational safety, good working environment, and efficient resource utilization – both operationally and long-term.
In the role of Building and Media Technician, you will be part of our Technology Department for Närke. Your main responsibilities will be to manage and ensure the operation of:
- Heating and steam systems with control systems.
- Compressed air with distribution networks.
- Sewage systems with control instruments.
- Maintenance of departmental dehumidification ventilation.
- Cooling systems with logging systems.
- Ventilation and duct systems, control and regulation systems.
- Acid/caustic reception, operation/maintenance/internal dishwashing, etc.
- Operational data systems with logging.
- Fire sprinkler systems.
- Cooling compressors and cooling systems.
- Boilers.
In addition, the role will partly involve tasks related to creating documentation for ordering and purchasing spare parts, participating in project work, risk analyses, deviation management, and serving as a contact person during certain inspections and supplier visits.
Qualifications and Experience
- Upper secondary education in control and regulation technology or another background assessed as equivalent.
- Good understanding of production technical prerequisites and "flows" within process and production.
- Good ability to conduct theoretical discussions regarding control and regulation technical connections, especially with reference to media production.
Personal Attributes
You are a person with good analytical skills, a high sense of service, and good orderliness. You prefer to work in a structured manner but also have the ability to quickly adapt to unexpected situations. You see opportunities in everyday life, are self-initiative, and structured in your approach. You dare to take responsibility and can handle an increased workload from time to time. Great importance is placed on orderliness and analytical ability.
Furthermore, you master Swedish in speech and writing, as well as good computer skills, as all maintenance work is reported in our maintenance system, SAP.
We embrace diversity and work actively for an inclusive work environment where different perspectives are a strength. Here, we place great importance on who you are, not just what is on your CV.
