About the Department

The Infectious Diseases Clinic is based in Sundsvall and has a county-wide responsibility for infectious disease care throughout Västernorrland County. Each year, we receive approximately 6,800 patients.

We work with patient-centered care, which means the patient is at the center and more involved in their treatment. We currently have 16 care beds divided into two care teams consisting of nurses, nursing assistants, doctors, dietitians, and occupational therapists. The ward consists solely of single rooms and isolation wards with antechamber systems.

We are now looking for nurses for day shifts to join our wonderful team for a permanent position, full-time, with start date according to agreement.

Responsibilities

As a nurse, you will work on our inpatient ward where we investigate and treat infectious diseases such as: pneumonia, endocarditis, meningitis, sepsis and TB, tropical diseases, scrub typhus, tularemia (rabbit fever), hepatitis, HIV, legionella, soft tissue infections, CNS infections, erysipelas, shingles, spondylitis, monkeypox, Ebola, encephalitis, norovirus, MERS, and more. The Infectious Diseases Clinic is an exciting department that uniquely offers you the opportunity to become very broad in your competence, as all patient categories (medicine, surgery, orthopedics, and sometimes pediatrics) are treated here. We have continuous education in infectious disease care regarding various infectious diseases. Additionally, we have a specialist nurse available most weekdays for support in daily work.

Working hours are scheduled for days/evenings, and with us, you work 2 out of 5 weekends. There is also an option to work every other weekend.

We work with individualized onboarding and mentorship, which means the onboarding is adapted to you as a person, and after onboarding, you are assigned a mentor.

We are looking for someone who

• Is a licensed nurse
• Has good knowledge of Swedish in speech and writing
