Occupational Therapist for Consulting Role in Home Healthcare – Umeå

Vårdlänken is now seeking a licensed occupational therapist for an exciting consulting role within home healthcare and short-term care.

We are looking for you who are interested in working in home healthcare and short-term care together with an engaged and competent rehab team where collaboration, job satisfaction, and development are in focus!

About the Role

The home healthcare and short-term care services in Umeå consist of occupational therapists, physiotherapists, nurses, and nursing assistants who work together to create the best possible care for patients. The rehab team currently includes 21 occupational therapists, 12 physiotherapists/therapists, and 3 rehab coordinators who work closely together and support each other in daily life.

The operations are being strengthened to further develop teamwork and create even better opportunities for preventive and rehabilitative interventions through a person-centered approach.

The target group is patients aged 18 and above who require health and medical care in ordinary housing within Umeå Municipality.

Your Responsibilities

As an occupational therapist, you work to create conditions for patients to be able to remain at home and live as independent a life as possible.

Responsibilities include, among other things:

• Assessment of functional ability and living environment
• Prescription of assistive devices
• Issuance of certificates
• Mentoring and support for home care staff
• Collaboration in interdisciplinary teams

You will become an important part of the operations and have the opportunity to contribute to the development of future home healthcare.

We are looking for you who

• Are a licensed occupational therapist
• Have a valid driver's license (Category B)
• Have good knowledge of Swedish, both spoken and written

Experience in home healthcare, geriatric rehabilitation, or teamwork is meritorious, but we also welcome you with other relevant experience.

As a person, you are positive, responsible, and engaged. You thrive when collaborating with others while being confident in working independently. You have a professional and warm demeanor and are happy to contribute energy and job satisfaction to the group. Heavy lifting may occur, and transfer aids are used in the work. Since smoking and pets may be present in patients' homes, you should not be allergic.
