Do you want to take a central role in driving strategic projects that contribute to the bank's continued development and transformation? We are looking for a Senior Project Manager with strong execution capabilities, business acumen, and the ability to create momentum in complex, cross-functional initiatives, with a special focus on process improvements, automation, and AI.
ABOUT THE ROLE
In the role of Senior Project Manager at Norion Bank, you lead and drive strategic and cross-functional projects with a clear connection to the bank's overarching goals and transformation agenda. You play a central role in the bank's ongoing development journey, focusing on process improvements, efficiency, automation, and AI initiatives that create concrete business value.
You are responsible for the entire project lifecycle, from idea and analysis to implementation, follow-up, and realization of benefits. Together with the business units, you define project goals, scope, schedule, resource requirements, and deliverables, while ensuring progress regarding time, budget, and quality. The role is both strategic and close to operations, and will partially require operational project management.
An important part of the role is to create alignment and clear communication among many different stakeholders. You facilitate meetings and workshops, ensure effective governance, and coordinate cross-functional collaborations between our business areas and central functions such as IT, Legal, and Privacy.
You are part of the bank's Project Management Office (PMO) and AI Transformation Team, contributing to identifying opportunities, structuring complex problem statements, and turning them into initiatives with clear business value. The role also involves managing risks, changes, and dependencies in the project portfolio, as well as contributing to the development and compliance of the PMO's methods and ways of working.
With an analytical and pragmatic approach, you act as a bridge between operations and execution by analyzing needs, transforming requirements into clear goals, and ensuring a shared vision, in a role that partially resembles that of a business analyst.
ABOUT YOU
We are looking for you who have a relevant academic degree, for example in economics, finance, project management, or a corresponding field, along with approximately 10 years of experience in project management. You have experience leading complex, cross-functional projects in organizations with many stakeholders and high demands for structure, governance, and business anchoring.
Furthermore, you are confident in all aspects of the project manager role, from planning, goal management, and follow-up to risk management, reporting, stakeholder management, and the preparation of decision-making materials. You have a good ability to create clarity in complex contexts and are accustomed to driving initiatives where both business understanding and execution power are crucial.
To succeed in the role, you need to have strong informal leadership and the ability to build trust at different levels in the organization. You are analytical, structured, and solution-oriented, while also having the ability to navigate change and bring people together around common goals.
You thrive in a role where you get to work both strategically and close to operations, and are not afraid to step into more operational project management when the situation requires it. With a pragmatic and forward-looking work style, you contribute to structure, progress, and results, even in initiatives with many dependencies and stakeholders.
You have very good knowledge of MS Office, especially Excel and PowerPoint, and communicate fluently in Swedish and English, both verbally and in writing.
We consider it meritorious if you have experience working in regulated operations, for example within banking, finance, or another regulated industry, and project experience related to AI.
The position is a permanent full-time employment preceded by a probationary period, starting as agreed.
The role is located at Norion Bank's headquarters at Lilla Bommen in Gothenburg. Our teams sit together there, which promotes both communication and collaboration.
