Kitchen Assistant at Pysslingen Sofiero Preschool!

Pysslingen Sofiero Preschool is located in the picturesque Laröd, Helsingborg, with close proximity to forests, the sea, and Sofiero Palace. We have four departments divided by age groups: one to three years and three to five years. With a focus on health, movement, and outdoor pedagogy, we work to provide children with joyful learning in nature, offering opportunities for both activity and rest. In this way, we create the best conditions for good health.

As a kitchen assistant in our reception kitchen, you will be responsible for receiving, preparing, and serving meals to children and educators. You play a vital role in creating a safe, secure, and pleasant dining environment.

The position is a part-time temporary contract (50%) for approximately 1 year.

As a kitchen assistant within Pysslingen Preschools, you help realize our offer of "A safe and stimulating world full of opportunities" for children, parents, and staff alike. By developing the little ones, we make a big impact.

Examples of tasks:

• Prepare snacks
• Receive catering deliveries and serve lunch
• Follow a self-control program including maintenance of food premises, cleaning, and dishwashing
• Ensure that children with special dietary needs receive their specific meals
• Purchase food according to framework agreements
• Administrative tasks, such as answering phones and handling email

Practical Requirements

• Practical experience from the restaurant industry
• Knowledge of self-control programs (HACCP)
• Knowledge of handling/serving special dietary meals
• Good command of the Swedish language, as the role involves significant digital work and communication
• Ability to work with digital tools

Personal Qualities

• Attentive and respectful
• Capable of working independently as well as collaborating in a team, with the ability to contribute to a functioning workplace alongside colleagues
• Eager to offer children and adults exciting encounters with food and new taste experiences
