We are currently looking for Test Cell Engineers for our facility in Södertälje.
AVL is a leading partner in Electromobility, Vehicle, and ADAS/AD within the automotive and energy industries. AVL MTC, our Swedish subsidiary, has approximately 250 employees based in Gothenburg, Haninge, Stockholm, and Södertälje. As an engineer at AVL, you collaborate with experts in our global teams and with our successful customers, working with cutting-edge technology.
As a Test Cell Engineer, you work closely with both technology and customers, ensuring that test objects and test cells function optimally throughout the entire testing process. You prepare, install, and monitor test objects, and perform calibration, service, and maintenance of both test objects and test cells. The role includes quality assurance and analysis of test data, as well as configuring measurement systems, both hardware and software. You work systematically with troubleshooting and documentation, while also performing practical work with test equipment, goods handling, and logistics. The role also involves identifying and reporting deviations, as well as having daily contact and close collaboration with customers, making communication and relationship building a central part of your daily routine.
Profile
To succeed in this role, we believe you have:
- The ability to work both independently and in a team
- A strong desire to develop and learn new things
- Documented experience in practical mechanical work with vehicles, machinery, or similar
- Understanding of the importance of following processes and routines, as well as the ability to solve problems independently
- A quality-conscious approach and interest in improvement work
- Good technical understanding of powertrains
- Ability to communicate clearly in both Swedish and English, both verbally and in writing
- Ability to work according to shift schedules (2-, 3-, or 4-shift)
- Valid driver's license B (required)
Merits:
- Post-secondary education in a relevant technical field
- Experience in testing or development in a controlled environment
- Documented experience in customer-facing work
