Do you want to work close to the business and build systems that truly stand the test of time? We are now looking for a Fullstack Developer for our MoneyGo business area at Svea Bank. Do you want a central role in the further development of our core systems, where simplicity, robustness, and long-term sustainability are in focus? Then this might be the right role for you. You will also become an important technical partner in an environment with short decision-making paths and great scope for influence.
About the role
In the role of Fullstack Developer, you are responsible for further developing and maintaining our core systems so that they long-term support our business operations. The work involves both new development and continuous maintenance of backend services in Java, with a particular focus on internal helper services linked to the core systems. You also work on developing internal web applications that serve as interfaces to the backend services.
An important part of the role is to immerse yourself in our business processes and problem domain to translate complex business requirements into robust, efficient, and sustainable code. You work actively with databases, where you design and optimize SQL queries and ensure high data integrity. The role also includes proactive debugging and monitoring of system logs to identify and resolve bottlenecks or bugs before they affect the end user.
You are also responsible for keeping technical documentation, system architecture, and deployment routines up to date. You will become part of a small development team within the business area, where you have great freedom under responsibility and get to influence daily operations.
The position is based at our local office in Helsingborg.
Who are you?
We are looking for someone who enjoys understanding a problem domain in depth and values simplicity and robustness over unnecessary complexity. You take clear ownership of your code and have a long-term perspective on system development. Furthermore, you are unpretentious, confident in your competence, and thrive in an environment with opportunities to influence, where decisions are made close to the technology. You have a good holistic understanding of the system landscape and are interested in the interplay between backend, user interface, and customer portal. At the same time, you appreciate collaboration and dialogue and are happy to contribute to joint technical decisions.
Experiences and qualifications
- Experience in backend development in Java
- Education in computer science, systems science, or equivalent relevant work experience
- Very good knowledge of Java and good understanding of web standards such as Vanilla JavaScript, HTML, and CSS
- Fluent in Swedish and English, both spoken and written
