The grocery industry is undergoing a shift with digitalization and automation high on the agenda. By working faster and more strategically with data, Axfood can meet increased competition and new customer demands.

You will become part of Axfood IT, which has one of the largest IT departments in the food industry with over 300 employees. Here, you will contribute to work that increases organizational efficiency through a more data-driven approach and continues to develop future logistics solutions. Axfood IT is at the forefront of digital development and new technology in areas such as the digital customer meeting, e-commerce, and working methods.

The Role of Software Engineer

As a developer, you will be part of the CS AWS team (Central System Development AWS). You will work on projects driven through Axfood's AI center and collaborate with data scientists, AI engineers, business developers, software engineers, and architects. The work varies between frontend, backend, integrations, and agentic solutions, and you will be involved in both new development, further development, and maintenance. The role follows the principle "you build it, you run it", meaning you are involved in the entire lifecycle – from idea to operation and improvement.

Among other things, you will:

• Develop full-stack applications in AWS
• Build integrations and APIs
• Implement AI-driven features and agentic solutions
• Work with CI/CD in Bitbucket and contribute to automation
• Participate in application security and LCM activities
• Collaborate and document in Jira and Confluence

Talent Program – The Bridge Between Studies and Career

Nexer Tech Talent specializes in giving young tech talents the ultimate start in working life. We tailor talent programs that provide a seamless transition between studies and career, where work is combined with education, mentoring, and social activities.

As a participant in a talent program, you will be employed by Nexer Tech Talent but have a role as an Application Developer at Axfood in Stockholm. You will become part of a group of talents who all participate in a tailored educational program where you monthly have the opportunity to develop and deepen your technical knowledge in combination with education in areas such as leadership and personal development. You will be coached by a mentor at Axfood and a consulting manager at Nexer Tech Talent. After successful completion of the talent program, the intention is that you will be offered a position at Axfood.

We are looking for you who have:

• A university degree in systems science, computer science, or similar.
• An interest in programming, cloud services, and the grocery industry.
• Programming skills in TypeScript and Python.
• Basic understanding or experience in AI/ML.
• Interest in cloud services and serverless architecture (AWS).
• Ability to work with both frontend and backend.
• Good knowledge of Swedish and English.
