The grocery industry is undergoing a shift with digitalization and automation high on the agenda. By working faster and more strategically with data, Axfood can meet increased competition and new customer demands.

You will become part of Axfood IT, which has one of the largest IT departments in the food industry with over 300 employees. Here, you will contribute to work that increases organizational efficiency through a more data-driven approach and continues to develop future logistics solutions. Axfood IT is at the forefront of digital development and new technology in areas such as the digital customer meeting, e-commerce, and working methods.

The Role of Software Engineer

As a developer, you will be part of one of the teams within Business Analytics IT. The department consists of approximately 22 employees who ensure a stable, secure, and scalable technical capability for analytics. Together, you will contribute to creating a reliable and quality-assured data foundation that enables insights, smart decisions, and business value for the entire organization.

The teams handle a variety of tasks coming from projects, further development, incidents, and maintenance. The work is carried out in agile four-week sprints where tasks are planned and distributed at the beginning of each sprint.

You will, among other things:

• Develop and maintain data pipelines
• Work with data modeling
• Contribute to front-end development related to analytics and reporting
• Handle incidents as part of the maintenance responsibility
• Contribute to improvements and efficiency in working methods

Talent Program – The Bridge Between Studies and Career

Nexer Tech Talent are specialists in giving young tech talents the ultimate start in working life. We tailor talent programs that provide a seamless transition between studies and career, where work is combined with education, mentoring, and social activities.

As a participant in a talent program, you will be employed by Nexer Tech Talent but hold a role as an Application Developer at Axfood in Stockholm. You will become part of a group of talents who all participate in a tailored educational program where you monthly get the opportunity to develop and deepen your technical knowledge in combination with training in areas such as leadership and personal development. You will be coached by a mentor at Axfood as well as a consulting manager at Nexer Tech Talent. After successful completion of the talent program, the intention is that you will be offered employment at Axfood.

We are looking for someone who has:

• A university degree in systems science, computer science, or a similar field.
• Programming skills in Python and SQL.
• Knowledge in Airflow, DBT, and Teradata is a plus.
• Understanding of Business Intelligence/Analytics with data lakes, databases, etc.
• Interest in cloud services and serverless architecture (AWS).
• Ability to work with both frontend and backend.
• Good proficiency in Swedish and English.
