We are now looking for a Head Caretaker / Property Maintenance Manager for Schenströmska Herrgården.

This is a key role in the operations where you ensure that everything runs smoothly – every day.

About the Role

This is more than a classic caretaker job.

You are responsible for:

• Having an overview of the entire facility – both indoors and outdoors.
• Planning, prioritizing, and driving your work independently.
• Ensuring everything is intact, functional, and looks good.
• Preventing problems before they arise.

You work closely with our assistant caretaker Josefin, who has long experience with the facility and a strong focus on detail.

You also collaborate closely with the operations manager Ronja, who drives bookings, customer contact, and the overall forward progress – together you create a functioning whole for both guests and operations.

Responsibilities

• Ongoing maintenance and repairs.
• Maintenance of buildings, rooms, premises, and outdoor areas.
• Responsible for the facility maintaining high visual and functional standards.
• Fire and safety work.
• Handling of urgent matters.
• Simple technical support during events (sound, image, etc.).
• Preventive work and improvements.

Experience & Knowledge

Requirements:

• Experience in property maintenance, caretaking, or similar.
• Technically interested.
• Good knowledge of Swedish.
• Valid driver’s license (Category B).

Merits:

• Experience with plumbing, ventilation, or electricity.
• Experience in conference or event environments.
• Gardening / outdoor maintenance.
• Chainsaw license or experience working with machinery.
