We continue to grow, and in the autumn of 2026, we will take over responsibility for waste collection in Tyresö, with Tyresö Municipality as the client and partner. At the same time, Verdis is responsible for waste collection in Nacka Municipality, and both assignments will operate from our new depot in Högdalen. Therefore, we are now expanding our operations with a Shift Leader who wants to play a key role in building up the department ahead of the contract launch, and subsequently take responsibility for daily operations and operational activities. About the role
As a Shift Leader with us, you have overall responsibility for the planning and organization of operational activities within the department. This means you lead and distribute the daily work for our environmental workers/drivers and vehicles operating in the field. You monitor and ensure that work is performed according to current routines, safety regulations, and our clients' requirements. You play a key role in communication and collaboration, both with employees and with our clients. You report to the Production Manager and work closely with your colleagues.

Your main responsibilities as a Shift Leader include:

  • Leading and planning the work for staff
  • Administration in Verdis and the client's business systems
  • Communication with clients and customers
  • Handling and follow-up of occupational health and safety matters
  • Ensuring that the vehicle fleet is managed correctly
  • Coordination with workshops regarding vehicle service and repairs

About you

You are an enthusiastic leader who can motivate and inspire others. You have the ability to see the big picture and are not afraid to jump in where needed, from moving vehicles to customer visits. You adapt your communication to different situations and are skilled at building relationships. You have a solution-oriented approach, while being firm when the situation requires it.

You need to have good computer and system skills, as well as administrative ability, since a large part of the role involves administration in various business and quality systems. Furthermore, it is important that you are stress-resistant and can handle periods of high workload and unforeseen events efficiently.

To qualify for the role, you need at least two years of leadership experience from the transport industry or a related sector. A B-category driver's license is required. We also highly value your personal qualities in connection with this recruitment process.
