Then you should apply to the Surgical Section (K-section) within Anesthesia, Operating Room and Intensive Care (ANOPIVA) at one of the country's best hospitals, the University Hospital in Linköping.

Our operating department offers anesthesia and operating services to various surgical specialties. Here, high-tech advanced surgical care and emergency management of trauma patients are provided. ANOPIVA is Region Östergötland's largest clinic and provides surgical care in all operating specialties except thoracic/vascular surgery. Our units perform both elective and emergency surgery, with operations running 24/7.

Specifically at the K-section, you work with surgeries within upper and lower abdominal surgery, urology, and gynecology. Surgeries are performed open, laparoscopically, or via robot. You work in a team with nurse anesthetists, nursing assistants, and doctors, planning and organizing the day's surgeries in your operating room. The work varies between elective and emergency flows, where you make quick decisions as part of the team in a high-tech environment.

Job Description

As an operating room nurse, you work at the K-section but with some introduction to other sections to participate in on-call duties. This means your specialized competence develops at your home section, but you have knowledge of life-saving emergency surgeries at other sections.

About You

We are looking for you who are a registered nurse with specialist education in operating room care and have a special interest in surgery while wanting to maintain broad emergency competence.

You must have good Swedish language skills in speech and writing as you will communicate with patients, relatives, and colleagues. Great importance is placed on personal suitability and maturity.

The work is characterized by excitement and variation where your flexibility and problem-solving skills come into play. You are a curious person who wants to contribute to the development of operations.

It is important that you enjoy teamwork and work well with other people in a sensitive and smooth manner. Furthermore, you are an engaged person who wants to contribute to a positive and good work environment.
