Do you want to take responsibility for how we plan, execute, and quality-assure data collection from forests in a growing company?

EKEN is looking for a structured Monitoring Manager who wants to lead measurement and follow-up work and contribute to developing efficient and scalable methods.

About EKEN

EKEN operates at the intersection of forestry, climate, tech, and finance. We are developing a business model where forests are converted into new, long-term revenues through certified carbon credits in a growing European market.

By measuring, certifying, and selling the forest's carbon sequestration, we create new revenue streams for forest owners, while companies gain access to high-quality carbon credits to meet their climate goals. Using data, analysis, and our own developed technical solutions, we are building a scalable business model for recurring revenues over time.

About the role

You will be responsible for planning, executing, and following up on the measurement of forest compartments within EKEN's projects, as well as ensuring that the collected data maintains high quality and is registered correctly in our systems. You will recruit, manage, and lead the team needed to deliver in the field, ensuring that data collection takes place according to set methodological requirements. You will work closely with colleagues in other parts of the organization and contribute to developing efficient and scalable methods for how we collect and use data.

Here you will have the chance to contribute to the development of efficient and scalable processes for data collection, as well as develop and implement new revenue streams for forest owners.

Who we are looking for

We are looking for you who have a strong forestry background and experience leading operational work in the field, but who also thrive in a role where you take responsibility and create structure.

You need to be confident in your competence and able to work independently in an environment where much is still under development. You have an eye for detail and precision while also having the ability to see the big picture and contribute to the business.

To thrive with us, we believe you are structured, solution-oriented, and have a natural presence in meetings with others, both internally and externally.

We believe you have

  • Education as a Forester, Forest Technician, or equivalent
  • Several years of experience from forestry operations
  • Leadership experience or experience coordinating teams
  • Driver's license and ability to travel in connection with field work
  • Good knowledge of English, both spoken and written

Why EKEN?

  • Be part of a growing startup with great development potential
  • Work close to the forest and contribute to real climate impact
  • Take significant responsibility and have the opportunity to influence how we work forward
  • Office centrally located in Stockholm at Klarabergsviadukten
  • Flexible working hours and possibility for hybrid work
  • Wellness allowance of 5,000 SEK, health insurance, and 30 days of vacation
