Do you want to help build a new market for forest owners – where carbon credits generate revenue alongside traditional timber products?

EKEN is seeking two business-driven individuals who want to work closely with forest owners and build a portfolio of contracted forest land. Here you combine forestry expertise with business acumen in a role where you drive the business from initial contact to long-term agreements.

About EKEN

EKEN operates at the intersection of forestry, climate, tech, and finance. We are developing a business model where forests are converted into new, long-term revenue streams through certified carbon credits on a growing European market.

By measuring, certifying, and selling the forest's carbon sequestration, we create new revenue streams for forest owners, while companies gain access to high-quality carbon credits to meet their climate goals. Using data, analysis, and self-developed technical solutions, we are building a scalable business model for recurring revenue over time.

About the role

You will work on building and developing EKEN's business towards private forest owners through active and proactive outreach.

The role involves driving the entire business process – from initial contact to agreement – and subsequently being responsible for developing and managing the relationship with the forest owner over time. The role may also involve developing existing partnerships and working methods to reach more forest owners. Contributing to how we build efficient and scalable processes as the company grows is an important part of the job.

You are responsible for building a portfolio of contracted forest land and working long-term to develop relationships and business opportunities.

This role offers a unique opportunity to combine forestry expertise with business drive in an environment where the foundation exists but much is still under construction.

A forestry background combined with a strong interest in business and relationships is a good foundation for thriving in this role.

Initiative, a proactive working style, and the ability to build long-term relationships are important parts of everyday life. You are communicative, business-driven, and motivated by creating deals and seeing the results of your work.

This role suits you if you feel comfortable in an environment where conditions may change and where you help shape how the work develops over time.

We welcome both those early in their career who wish to develop in the role, and those with a few years of experience who are accustomed to driving business more independently.

We believe you have

• Forestry education such as Forester, Forest Manager, or equivalent
• Interest in business and relationships
• Good communication skills in Swedish and English
• Driver's license and ability to travel

It is a plus if you have experience in business-driven roles within the forestry industry or have worked as, for example, a timber buyer or in a similar role.
