Do you have a technical interest, enjoy hands-on work with various types of equipment, and like problem-solving? Then you might be the person we are looking for!

As a Facility Technician, you will ensure that maintenance is performed on operational equipment and that it functions technically in our depots, so that vehicle maintenance operations are not negatively affected. You will also contribute to investments regarding operational equipment and special tools. The work involves considering operational economics, quality, as well as the traffic and electrical safety of the equipment. We are looking for one person based in Södertälje and one person based in Älvsjö.

Your upcoming role
As a Facility Technician, you will carry out and manage the maintenance of operational equipment and special tools.

The role also involves:

  • Conducting daily inspections of the building and operational equipment, as well as ongoing inspections of lifting gear, and reporting any identified deviations.

  • Ensuring that deviations are rectified, either by your own efforts or by calling in a contractor.

  • Ensuring planned maintenance of operational equipment is carried out, as well as fault correction and repairs.

  • Ensuring inspections are performed for equipment requiring inspection.

As a Facility Technician, you will be part of the Management & Technology department, which in turn belongs to the Vehicle unit.

Expectations of the person we are looking for
You have a very good technical understanding and you like solving problems when you find them. You are meticulous and structured and have high demands for safety.

You are comfortable working administratively while also enjoying hands-on work and are open to working with different types of equipment. You will be part of a small team and work closely with the entire operation, requiring good collaboration skills while also being able to work independently.

Requirements:

  • High competence in practical mechanics, where you have taken responsibility for the entire chain from identifying the problem to taking on the solution.

  • Extensive work experience in individual work with significant responsibility.

  • Completed technical high school education or equivalent.

  • Category B driver's license.

We also look for you to have:

  • Good knowledge of Swedish, both spoken and written.

  • Knowledge of English, both spoken and written.

  • Good IT skills, primarily within the Office package.

Meritorious is if you:

  • Previously worked as a facility or operations technician.

  • Previously worked in a depot or workshop environment.

  • Previously have experience with piping installation or control and regulation technology.

  • Previously have experience as an electrician.

Challenges with the role you applied for:

  • Ability to work in new and complex situations.

  • Ability to focus on the right issues and not act too event-driven.

  • Completing started projects/tasks.

  • Understanding issues and problems and their level of complexity.

  • Handling many parallel activities.
