Do you have experience and a burning interest in engines, and are you looking for a job where you don't have to stay stuck at the same workshop every day? As a Service Technician at BOS Power, you are based in Jordbro but have the entire Nordic region as your work area. Here you get a daily life with a lot of freedom, where you book your own travels and focus on preventive maintenance of heavy engine systems at the customer's site. Send us your application today - we are recruiting on an ongoing basis!
About the role
BOS Power is a leading player in engine technology with its headquarters in Bergen and a strong presence throughout the Nordic region. In Sweden, operations are based out of a modern workshop in Jordbro, south of Stockholm, where they are a tight team of approx. 20 people. The company works with service and repair of powerful engines within critical infrastructure and the marine sector.
As a Traveling Service Technician at BOS Power, you lead a varied working life where you spend most of your time out in the field, often together with an experienced colleague. The focus is on preventive service and repairs at Nordic customers – primarily in Sweden and Norway. When you are not traveling, you work in the workshop in Jordbro with component refurbishment, preparations, and other work on the engines.
At BOS Power you are offered:
- A stable base salary with favorable supplements for work outside Sweden and in the Nordic region
- A generous setup for overtime pay and inconvenient working hours for late evenings and weekend work
- A comprehensive benefits package including health insurance, accident insurance, and wellness allowance
- Specialized training at the company's own training center in Norway and ongoing support from experienced mentors
Responsibilities
- Perform preventive service, maintenance, and repairs of engines at customer sites in the Nordic region
- Troubleshooting and technical problem solving on-site in the field
- Document performed work through service reports and handle your own administration such as travel expenses
- In the workshop: Repair components and support the team with preparations and maintenance
- Plan and book your own travels (flights, rental car, and hotel) via the company's travel agency
We are looking for you who
- Have practical experience with engines, by taking apart and putting together an engine (e.g., from smaller workshops, heavy vehicles, or a racing/car hobby)
- Have the possibility and flexibility to travel for work and enjoy being away for large parts of the time
- Hold a valid driver's license (Category B)
- Are fluent in Swedish and have good knowledge of English
- Have an interest in engines and technology
It is an advantage if you
- Live on the south side of Stockholm
- Have worked as a service technician or similar previously
To succeed in the role, you have the following personal qualities:
We are looking for a person who is self-motivated, responsible, and unpretentious. Since the work involves many trips and long days at the customer's site, you need to have endurance and a positive attitude towards problem-solving. You are structured enough to manage your own travel planning, while being a team player who enjoys collaborating closely with colleagues. We would like you to be a person who "sees what needs to be done" and is not afraid to jump in where needed.
NOTE!
As part of BOS Power's recruitment process, a background check is conducted on the final candidate before employment.
