F 16 is responsible for the Uppsala garrison and the operation of Uppsala Airport. The wing is also responsible for the 24/7, year-round surveillance of Swedish airspace and leads the Air Force's combat aircraft in the air. You will become part of a military organization undergoing significant change and development due to the international situation and Sweden's NATO membership. About the Unit
The Air Force's Combat Control and Air Surveillance Battalion is tasked with surveilling Swedish airspace and directing combat aircraft. The battalion conducts live operations 24/7, year-round from facilities across the country. The Stril Defence Company is the Air Force's largest security unit, responsible for protecting the battalion's facilities.
The main task of the Stril Defence Company is to detect, locate, identify, and counter security threats against the Air Force's command and control systems. The Stril Defence Platoons use dogs as a vital complement to technical sensors to carry out this mission. The Stril Defence Company is characterized by flexible and mobile operations over large areas in small units. The platoons are capable of operating throughout the country across all seasons and hours of the day. We operate under varying physical and psychological conditions, which places high demands on our employees' physical fitness.
Main Responsibilities
The Company Staff of 1614 Stril Defence Company is looking for you who possess experience and competence in dog services, primarily service dogs, and who want to work on developing the dog service within the company. You are a solution-oriented and driven person who enjoys working with both dogs and people.
The Dog Handler/Trainer is an expert in dog services and has the main responsibility of developing the company's operational patrol dog teams. The work involves working closely with dog handlers to develop and maintain the training status of the teams. Other duties include supporting training, follow-up, quality assurance, and guidance of the dog service within the company. The Dog Handler/Trainer must be able to serve as a teacher/instructor for dog service training when needed. As a Dog Handler/Trainer, you are part of the company staff and are led daily by the Dog Service Leader.

REQUIREMENTS
Qualifications
- Category B Driver's License
- Experience in service dog operations.
- Experience in dog training, mentality, and learning.

QUALIFICATIONS
- Experience in service dog operations within the Swedish Armed Forces.
- Trainer certified by the Swedish Armed Forces.
- Trained Patrol Dog Instructor.
- Trained Search Dog Instructor.
- Trained Dog Inspector.

Other Information
Employment Type: Permanent. The Swedish Armed Forces may apply a six-month probationary period.
Full-time/Part-time: Full-time
Work Location: Uppsala. F 16 also has operations in other locations, which may involve occasional business travel.
Working Hours: Primarily daytime. Evening and weekend duty may occur during exercise activities.
Start Date: As agreed
Salary: We apply individual salary setting
Position: Civilian
