Building Technician / Plant Engineer

We are expanding our property management team and are looking for an experienced and technically skilled Building Technician/Plant Engineer to join Himmelsby SPA & Conference. This role is central to ensuring our facility operates optimally and that our guests are met with a well-maintained and safe environment.

The position requires a person with broad practical experience in technical systems, property maintenance, and machinery. You will be responsible for both preventive maintenance and emergency repairs throughout the facility.

Responsibilities

• Responsible for the operation, inspection, and maintenance of the facility's technical systems
• Operation and maintenance of pools, water treatment systems, and spa facilities
• Control and adjustment of water quality (pH, chlorine, filtration, etc.)
• Maintenance and servicing of machinery, pumps, ventilation, and technical installations
• Property maintenance such as minor repairs and general service
• Inspection of heating, ventilation, and other technical functions in the building
• Troubleshooting and resolving technical issues within the facility
• Coordinating with external service companies for major servicing or repairs
• Ensuring technical systems meet safety and regulatory requirements
• Participating in the planning of maintenance and investments in technical systems

Qualifications

• Long and broad experience in technical work, machinery, and property systems
• Experience in operating and maintaining pools or swimming facilities is an advantage
• Good understanding of mechanics, pumps, water treatment, and technical installations
• Practical problem-solving skills and ability to work independently
• Experience in property maintenance or technical operations is an advantage
• Valid driver's license (Category B) is required

As a Building Technician/Plant Engineer, you will become an important part of our property team and a key figure in daily operations. Together with your colleagues, you will ensure that the technology functions correctly, the facility is kept in good condition, and our guests can enjoy a safe and well-functioning spa and hotel environment. The role involves a high degree of variety in tasks and requires both technical competence and practical experience. The work is performed according to a schedule, which includes working every other weekend.
