Do you want to help build modern, business-critical data solutions? We are currently looking for a Data Engineer to take a central role in developing our client's data platform. About the Role

In the role of Data Engineer at our client, you will work on developing and optimizing business-critical SQL queries as well as building and further developing dbt models.

You will have the opportunity to:

  • Design data models for both historical and current data
  • Implement and optimize scheduled jobs in Airflow
  • Work with releases, migrations, and rollback scripts
  • Troubleshoot data issues and perform root cause analysis
  • Collaborate closely with the business to translate requirements into technical solutions
  • Develop and implement ETL processes from Scandinavian data providers

You will play a central role in ensuring the company's data solutions are reliable, efficient, and maintain high quality.

Requirements

  • Excellent knowledge of SQL
  • Practical experience with dbt
  • Good understanding of data modeling
  • Experience with Git
  • Strong problem-solving skills and analytical thinking
  • Excellent knowledge of Python
  • Experience with release and version management in database environments
  • Knowledge of code quality tools such as SQLFluff and Ruff
  • Fluent Swedish and English, both written and spoken

Merits

  • In-depth knowledge of AWS (S3, Glue, IAM, VPC)
  • Advanced use of dbt (macros, custom tests, packages)
  • Experience with performance optimization for large datasets
  • Experience from the credit, risk, or collections industry
  • Experience working with Cursor
  • Experience with XSLT stylesheets
  • Experience with jq
  • Experience with Apache Airflow
  • Experience with Amazon Redshift

Our client is currently investing heavily in AI to streamline work and improve data quality. Experience with – or a strong interest in – AI within database management and data analysis is a plus.
