Do you want to be part of leading the design phase in one of Sweden's largest railway projects and contribute to the infrastructure of the future? We have the job for you!
Responsibilities
Ostlänken is a 160 km long double-track railway stretching from Järna in Södermanland to Linköping in Östergötland, creating capacity for more passenger and freight trains. As a Design Manager, you will be part of one of Ostlänken's projects, responsible for producing construction drawings for Track, Power, Signaling, and Telecommunications (BEST) along the entire main line.
Your responsibilities include, among other things:
- Plan, lead, and follow up on the design work through the project's various phases, ensuring that technical disciplines and external consultants work towards common goals
- Ensure that design documentation and deliverables maintain the correct quality and adhere to decided requirements regarding time, cost, and scope
- Collaborate with contractors and other stakeholders to develop optimal, buildable solutions for both the construction and management phases
- Contribute to clear work routines, good communication, and solution-oriented collaboration to ensure an efficient and structured design process for the project
Travel is included in the position, primarily to the Ostlänken program project office. Do you want a flexible daily routine with the possibility of working from home? In this role, you may be given the opportunity to work remotely up to two days a week.
For you as a Design Manager at the Swedish Transport Administration (Trafikverket), the development opportunities are vast; we want you to reach your full potential. You will belong to one of Sweden's largest client organizations, and the collective project competence of our approximately 1,000 project and design managers is unique. You will have access to various forums for knowledge exchange, networking, and training.
The project is in an exciting phase where, as a Design Manager, you will help establish routines and functional ways of working to create the right conditions for the projects in Ostlänken. Together, we are creating a Sweden where we travel smoothly, sustainably, and safely. Welcome with your application!
