Do you want to play a key role in ensuring SJ's trains are safe, reliable, and compliant with all legal requirements? As a Railway Safety and Requirements Coordinator, you bring order to complexity and drive safety and requirements work forward. Through your work, you contribute directly to ensuring it is always safe to travel and work in SJ's traffic.
Your upcoming role
As a Railway Safety and Requirements Coordinator, you have a central role in ensuring that SJ's vehicle fleet is safe, reliable, and meets all requirements. You work within the vehicle team, where you are responsible for coordinating and driving work within railway safety, requirements management, and configuration management for our trains.
In this role, you create structure and momentum in safety and requirements-related issues by ensuring that work complies with applicable legal requirements, internal safety management requirements, as well as requirements from suppliers and authorities. You lead and coordinate risk-related activities, support team members in their work, and ensure that risks are identified, analyzed, and managed in a consistent and traceable manner. With your holistic perspective, you contribute to ensuring the vehicle fleet meets requirements for safety, accessibility, and regulatory compliance.
Key responsibilities:
- Safety management by coordinating safety work, preparing questions for meetings, and ensuring correct documentation.
- Requirements management: documenting requirements, monitoring changes in regulations, and quality-assuring risk analyses.
- Responsibility for processes and routines, ensuring status and documentation are up to date.
- Leading risk analyses and supporting work with deviation management in configuration management.
- Ensuring relevant parts of the management plan and maintenance log are kept up to date.
- Supporting colleagues and developing ways of working.
You will join Division Vehicles, the part of SJ responsible for the entire vehicle fleet lifecycle, ensuring that complete, clean, and safe trains are delivered on time. Division Vehicles consists of approximately 900 employees with varied expertise, including technical specialists, vehicle engineers, and train technicians. Within Division Vehicles, you will work in Technical Product Management, where work is carried out in vehicle teams responsible for each SJ vehicle fleet. In your role, you will collaborate with the Technical Product Management's Railway Safety Coordinator and the division's safety coordinators.
Expectations for the candidate

At the same time, you are proactive and responsible, taking ownership of your tasks and driving work forward independently. The role also requires flexibility and the ability to prioritize based on operational needs. You have a natural ability to balance requirements, safety, and progress.
You are accustomed to working in teams, enjoy collaborating with others, and have strong communication skills that build trust in dialogue with both colleagues and external parties. With your social competence, you are skilled at building and maintaining relationships; you contribute to a humble, curious, and generous culture where improvement work is a natural part of everyday life.
