You will step into a central management role within a municipal service operation, where you will combine change management with overall responsibility for operations, personnel, and finance. The assignment has a clear focus on driving prioritized development initiatives within catering and cleaning, while supporting the organization in maintaining a stable and well-functioning daily delivery.

You will lead not only through direction and structure but also by being a close support to six unit managers within the catering and cleaning operations. The role involves holding the big picture together, strengthening collaboration between different parts of the operation, and creating good conditions for continued development. A key area is to translate a completed meal study into concrete improvements that streamline kitchen structures, strengthen collaboration between kitchens, and increase the utilization of production kitchens. You will also drive the work towards more efficient and sustainable transport solutions for the catering operations.

As the Operations Manager, you will be part of the executive management team and work closely with several support functions, including finance, HR, communications, and safety. You also play an important role in contact with internal customers, suppliers, and in matters concerning procurement, purchasing, and decision-making materials for the political board. This is an assignment for you who want to combine strategic change work with operational leadership where you can make a real difference.

• You lead the operations with overall responsibility for operations, personnel, and finance.
• You drive prioritized change projects within catering, cleaning, and adjacent service flows.
• You support and guide four unit managers within the catering operations and two unit managers within the cleaning operations.
• You develop working methods that streamline kitchen structures and strengthen collaboration between different kitchens.
• You drive the work towards efficient and sustainable transport solutions for the catering operations.
• You actively participate in the executive management team and contribute to the overall development of the operations.
• You lead the collaboration group together with union representatives and safety officers.
• You prepare decision-making materials and present cases to the political board when necessary.
• You maintain contact with internal customers and various suppliers in connection with purchasing and procurement.

• At least 5 years of experience in previous management assignments and experience in working with personnel development.
• Experience in leading other managers.
• Management experience from a politically governed organization.
• Education in project management or change management.
• Three years of experience in project management or change management.
• Several years of experience as a manager and leader with operational, budget, and personnel responsibility.
• Communicative person who works in a structured manner.
• Trust-based and attentive leadership style.
• Class B driver's license and access to a personal car.

• University education equivalent to a food scientist, food economist, or dietitian, civil economist, or logistics, or other education combined with experience in the field deemed equivalent.
• Management experience from a municipal organization.
• Management experience from a similar role.
