About the Role

If you are hired and are not already a trained security guard, Securitas will cover the cost of your training.

The position is a summer temporary contract, so we wish that you are available for work between weeks 25–33. Securitas will assign you a schedule so you can plan your summer in good time with both work and fun activities! Whether you want to work day or night, in a fast-paced or calm environment, Securitas has the job for you.

Working as a security guard is perfect for you if you like working with people and helping them in their daily lives. As a guard at our office in Malmö, you will become part of a tight-knit team. Shift lengths vary but are often 12-hour shifts, either day or night. The schedule also includes work on weekends.

As a stationary security guard, you deliver safety on-site for one of our clients. Depending on which client you are with, the tasks may vary. You can work as a receptionist at a larger company or perform security duties such as controlling entry and exit, patrolling, alarm handling, and camera surveillance. Work in a retail environment may also be relevant and occur in some cases. Regardless of which client you work for, your main task is to be alert and ensure everything is in order. You work independently and under your own responsibility, often both day and night.

Requirements

• Passed grades in Swedish from the first year of upper secondary school
• Good knowledge of English
• Class B driver's license

Merits if you

• have worked with similar tasks previously
• have a civilian or military security guard education

For employment within Securitas Sverige AB, it is required that you have passed grades from upper secondary school in Swedish and are approved by the County Administrative Board for employment in an authorized security company according to the Security Companies Act (19:191) (the application is made by Securitas). Depending on the position, a security clearance according to the Security Protection Act (2018:585) may also be relevant. To investigate and assess whether you meet the requirements to be approved according to the respective regulation, a background check is performed. The assessment concerns law-abidingness, suitability, reliability, loyalty, and any vulnerabilities. Information obtained may, for example, come from yourself, open sources, or authorities. We apply a holistic assessment when examining suitability for each position.

Salary and employment conditions are based on the collective agreement between the employers' organization Security Companies and the Swedish Transport Workers' Union.
