Student Support Assistant for Preschool Class and Year 1

About the Job

We are currently seeking a dedicated student support assistant to work in the preschool class and Year 1, as well as spending some time at our after-school care center.

Responsibilities

As a student support assistant, you will work closely with two students during the school day, supporting them both in the classroom and in other learning environments. You will collaborate with class teachers and special education teachers to create a safe, structured, and inclusive learning environment. The role requires you to be self-reliant and capable of taking initiative. Part of the position involves working at the after-school center, where you will contribute to a meaningful and safe activity program for the students together with the rest of the staff.

Qualifications

We are looking for someone with previous experience working as a student support assistant in a school setting. You should have the ability to work in a didactic and language-developing manner. You must be able to concretize and adapt working methods to the students' needs. You are confident, patient, and clear in your approach. You are structured and have a good ability to plan, organize, and prioritize work efficiently. You possess strong communication skills and can collaborate well with students, colleagues, and parents.

The position is 50% of full-time. There will be a 6-month probationary period followed by a possible fixed-term contract. Expected working days are Tuesday to Thursday.

It is highly advantageous if you have a pedagogical degree or are currently studying to become a teacher.
