About the position

The Intensive Care Emergency Unit is a specialized emergency department linked to Karolinska University Hospital's highly specialized care mission. This means that only patients requiring our resources in accordance with the highly specialized mission are admitted. This includes patients undergoing active treatment where cancer is the most common diagnosis, accepted referrals, and emergency care for specific patient groups requiring our specific expertise, such as trauma, decompression sickness, carbon monoxide poisoning requiring hyperbaric chambers, and ECMO care.

As a nurse with us, you will work with nursing care and the management of acutely ill patients. We work in teams consisting of assistant nurses and nurses in close collaboration with doctors, and together we take responsibility for the initial acute care of seriously ill or injured patients.

You will join a unit where we offer varied tasks and a dynamic pace around the clock. We are engaged, competent, and place high value on you becoming a secure colleague in the team. We learn from each other by sharing knowledge and experiences.

This advertisement concerns an hourly position with a focus on the summer period, with the possibility of an introduction and start as early as spring, as well as continued work during the autumn.

Qualifications

Requirements:

• Licensed nurse.
• At least 2 years of experience as a nurse.
• Experience with patients with high medical and nursing needs.
