Now you have the chance to work seasonally as a boat host on the boat buses in Karlstad & Hammarö.

You now have the opportunity to work on board the highly appreciated boat buses that operate in several archipelago municipalities in northern Vänern. We can offer you a summer with Vänern and Klarälven as your workplace. As a boat host, you will be in the heart of Värmland on board our beautiful wooden boats.

Starting from Inre Hamn in Karlstad, your workplace will be the waters in the municipalities of Karlstad, Hammarö, and Kristinehamn.

We are now recruiting boat hosts for the 2026 season.

The position concerns our passenger boats that operate the Värmland public transport during the summer months of June, July, and August under the concept of "boat bus".

Qualifications

We are looking for someone who:

• Is at least 18 years old
• Is social and responsible
• Loves meeting people and always puts passengers first
• Feels comfortable in social situations and is able to sell tickets on board the boats
• Is service-minded and solution-focused
• Is not afraid to jump in when needed
• Is a team player who always focuses on the experience
• Speaks fluent English and feels comfortable conversing in English
• It is a plus if you enjoy being in the spotlight and speaking in front of people

Profile

As a person, you are responsible and driven. You are social, positive, enjoy working in a team, and like meeting new people.

You are the face of the company and the first person our passengers meet when they come on board. You need to find it easy to meet people and be able to answer questions and be helpful to those traveling with us.

You are responsible for the experience on board, which also includes service, cleaning the boat, and ensuring it meets our requirements. In close collaboration with the captain, you ensure that passengers have a safe and pleasant journey as you serve as safety personnel.

It is important that you are responsive and have good collaboration and initiative skills as we are a small work group. Therefore, we place great emphasis on your personal qualities.

If you are offered employment with us, we will provide you with the necessary safety training. You must be available for work from June to August and be able to attend our introduction on May 30-31 in central Karlstad.

Terms of Employment

The employment is for the season from June to August. To some extent, work may occur before and after the season depending on needs. You are expected to work weekdays, evenings, and weekends mixed according to the schedule.
