RESPONSIBILITIES
The Care Administration is currently seeking an engaged Head Chef (1st Chef) for our team of 5 people who wants to help develop the kitchen operations at Torsgården. The work involves performing all relevant tasks in a cooking kitchen within the elderly care sector. This includes, among other things:
- Planning, cooking, and serving meals.
- Packing for meal distribution.
- Participating in the care sector's Head Chef group and menu planning group.
- Creating work schedules.
- Handling special diets and following routines for self-control/food hygiene.
We work extensively with KRAV (Swedish organic certification) and are KRAV certified. Working hours are spread across days, evenings, and weekends. You will act as a team leader at the workplace and maintain close contact with the Meal Manager.
QUALIFICATIONS
To succeed in this role, you must be responsible, meticulous, and have a good ability to plan and structure your work. You always strive to cook good, well-balanced meals of the highest quality. You have a genuine interest in food and cooking but also an eye for the small details that enhance the dining experience. We take it for granted that you have excellent interpersonal skills and good initiative and teamwork abilities.
You must have a completed upper secondary education in the Restaurant and Food Programme with a focus on the kitchen, or another chef education, or other education deemed equivalent by the employer. Previous experience as a Head Chef or leadership training is an advantage. You must have good knowledge of the Swedish language, both spoken and written, and be computer literate.
The work requires flexibility and the ability to work independently. Therefore, you must be confident in yourself and your tasks and be able to adapt to different conditions.
