About the Role

As an employee with us, you represent Hornbach and are a role model in terms of engagement, drive, and customer service. We are now looking for a sales associate for our decoration department, primarily focusing on lighting.

Your main tasks will primarily consist of sales and advising customers. Thanks to your product knowledge and sales skills, you ensure that the customer can complete their project.

Examples of Common Tasks

• Active sales of the product range within decoration, specifically the range within lighting, decoration, and wallpaper.
• Opportunities to be inspired, learn from colleagues, and exchange solid knowledge and experience within the product area.
• Responsible for incoming goods and displays, as well as for setup and remodeling in the department.
• Analyze the department's product presentation.
• Assist in other departments as needed.

Your Profile

• High school education or equivalent and experience in retail.
• Relevant work experience/education in the field of lighting and electricity.
• Previous knowledge of electricity and lighting is a requirement.
• Passionate about providing our customers with the best possible service.
• Realize the customer's project through professional advice on our wide product range.
• You are stress-resistant, flexible, and solution-oriented.
• Good physical condition as some departments require heavier lifting.
• It is an advantage if you have a forklift license (A1-A4 & B1-B4).

Working Hours/Duration:

Temporary position. Part-time, 30 hours/week. Working hours are weekdays and every other weekend.

Salary:

According to collective agreement.

Start Date:

2 positions, one from 1/5 - 31/8 - 2026, and one position from 18/5 - 31/8 - 2026.
